Defibtech Lifeline pediatric electrodes for safe pediatric defibrillation
The Defibtech Lifeline pediatric electrodes are specially designed for the safe defibrillation of children between the ages of 1 and 8, weighing less than 25 kg. When these electrodes are connected to the AED, the device automatically adjusts the shock level to ensure the safety of the child. Clear positioning instructions can be found on the packaging.
Pediatric protocol with reduced shock volume
When using child electrodes, the AED immediately switches to the child protocol, reducing the shock volume to 50 joules. For correct application in children, one electrode is placed on the victim's chest and one on the back.
