Defibtech Lifeline pediatric electrodes for safe pediatric defibrillation
The Defibtech Lifeline pediatric electrodes are specifically designed for safely defibrillating children aged 1 to 8 years old, weighing less than 25 kg (55 lbs). When these electrodes are connected to the AED, the device automatically adjusts the shock level to ensure the child's safety. Clear positioning instructions are provided on the packaging.
Children's protocol with reduced shock volume
When using child electrodes, the AED immediately switches to the child protocol, reducing the shock volume to 50 joules. For correct use with children, one electrode is placed on the victim's chest and one on the back.
