The Physio-Control Lifepak CR2 trainer offers realistic training options with two pre-programmed scenarios. The setup screen below the electrode compartment allows users to easily switch between semi- and fully automatic training modes. The metronome can be set to chest compressions only (constant metronome) or to the 30:2 CPR protocol (interrupted by ventilation prompts). Like the CR2 defibrillator, the trainer has a special child mode , which can be activated before electrode placement.

The Physio-Control Lifepak CR2 trainer is equipped with training pads that contain a sensor to detect when the pads are correctly placed on a training manikin. This allows the trainer to automatically continue the selected scenario.
