Manufacturer Stryker has announced that the supply of QUIK-PAK electrodes and the CHARGE-PAK battery charger for the LIFEPAK CR Plus and LIFEPAK EXPRESS will be completely discontinued by February 2026. Due to ongoing global supply chain issues, the availability of these crucial components can no longer be guaranteed.

As soon as the current electrodes or battery of your LIFEPAK CR Plus or EXPRESS expire (or have been used), you will no longer be able to make the device ready for use.
No components = No working AED: Without the specific CHARGE-PAK and QUIK-PAK combination, the device is technically unusable. There are no universal alternatives that fit safely in this device.
End of life: Most of these devices are now approaching or exceeding their average technical lifespan of 10 years. The reliability of the internal electronics can no longer be fully guaranteed after this period anyway.
Do you currently have an open order for a CHARGE-PAK or QUIK-PAK? Due to the discontinuation of production, delivery is extremely uncertain. It is highly likely that these orders will no longer be fulfilled. We recommend converting these orders into an investment in a modern, fully supported device.
Now that the familiar components are disappearing, this is the ideal time to look for an AED that better aligns with today's technology, such as models with real-time CPR feedback or multilingual support.
Immediately check the expiry date: Look on the side of your current LIFEPAK to see when the components expire.
Plan replacement: Don't wait until the AED gives an error message. Make sure you have a new device before the expiry date to ensure safety in the 6-minute zone.
Don't let the phasing out of your old equipment create a gap in your safety policy. There are now excellent alternatives that are easier to maintain and offer better support during CPR.
